What We offer
We offer 100% grass-fed and finished beef. Our breeds include Parthenaise / Limousine mix. Our meat chickens are Jumbo Cornish Cross, and our laying hens are Rhode Island Reds. Lastly, our pigs are a mix of Yorkshire, Berkshire and Duroc.
Grass-fed and Finished Beef
Our cows are on a rotational grazing system. This natural model heals the land, thickens the forage, reduces weeds, stimulates earthworms, reduces pathogens, and increases quality in the meat.
Pork
Our pigs are woodlot raised, which means they enjoy their time out in the brush foraging for whatever their heart’s desire. They are moved monthly to make sure they are not exhausting resources.
Pastured Poultry
Sunset Ranch broilers are the cornerstone of the farm. Much loved and always in demand, our birds are truly pasture-raised, and you can see and taste the difference in their meat. Housed in portable field shelters, our meat birds spend eight weeks outside doing what chickens do best - scratching the soil, eliminating pests, and co-laboring with us on the farm.
Pastured Eggs
We use 2 mobile hen houses (plus the huge surrounding areas) and the laying hens free range from it, eating bugs and scratching through cattle droppings to sanitize the pasture just like birds in nature that always follow herbivores as biological cleaners.
